Single Cartridge Seals

Style RC - This is our most cost effective cartridge design, but the list of features is equal to that of a mid-range seal. The RC is hydraulically balanced and has a monolithic face with homogenous material.

  • A unique shrouded rotary virtually eliminates any seal clogging in the stuffing box.
  • Drive mechanisms, springs, and the sleeve are isolated from the product, minimizing corrosion and stress-related failure. The seal faces are positioned in the gland for maximum protection.
  • A dynamic elastomer moves on a non-metallic surface and eliminates fretting.
  • The flush position maximizes face cooling.
  • It fits all standard ANSI pumps and offers easy cartridge installation.

Style SMS - Flex-A-Seal's most cost effective cartridge design, with stationary single spring cartridges.

  • Uniform 360 degree transfer of torque to rotating face.

Style RB - An integrated cartridge system design consisting of a single welded metal bellows cartridge.

  • Rotating welded metal bellows - self cleaning.
  • Simple installation requires no dimensions to be taken. Slide on, bolt to box face, tighten set screws, remove spacers.
  • No moving elastomers. No fretting. No hang-up.
  • Minimal number of parts. Simple design means less pieces to cause problems.
  • Fits all ANSI pump designs.
  • Metric and DIN sizes readily available.
  • Fits 5/16" cross section stuffing boxes.
  • Easily modified to fit oversized stuffing boxes.
  • Quick, inexpensive repairs.

  • The only cartridge seal in industry with only one o-ring, cost savings are substantial when perfluoroelastomers are required.
  • Faces positioned near the lantern ring connection for enhanced cooling and flushing.
  • 316 SS sleeve and gland are out of the product and dont need to be constructed of expensive metals in corrosive situations.
